About Us

Coyote Hills Elementary opened on August 9th, 2006.  The staff is committed to building strong relationships with students and parents, as well as, dedicated to excellence.

Coyote Hills is the proud recipient of the John Irwin Award for Excellence.  The Colorado Department of Education recognizes the hard work that students and staff have accomplished with the John Irwin Award.  This award showcases the public schools that are the top 8% in the state based on overall academic performance.  Coyote Hills has won this distinguished honor each year that they have been eligible!

At Coyote Hills Elementary we are committed to the P.A.C.K. principles of personal integrity, achievement, citizenship and kindness.  We believe that by developing these life skills, students will be empowered to learn at high levels and be prepared to successfully navigate their journey toward college and career readiness.

In order to have this come to fruition, we are committed to having administrators in classrooms two full days each week to improve teaching and learning in every classroom. Our goal is to ensure quality learning for every student at Coyote Hills.

As a result of being in classes so often, we may not always be immediately available to you; however, your communication is important to us.  If you have a question about a particular class, please contact the teacher directly, as we have found that is the most effective way to clarify issues.  You can find contact information for individual teachers on the classrooms/staff page of our website.  If you need to schedule time to talk to either Mrs. Sorg or Mr. Cuoco, please contact Michelle Huffman as she handles those calendars.  She will find an appropriate time for us to talk.

Thank you for your on-going support.  You are a valued partner in your child's education.  The implementation of these practices will enhance our ability to strengthen student learning at our school.
